A man has survived multiple stab wounds in an alleged domestic violence attack.

Police said a 49-year-old woman ignored a domestic violence order when she allegedly stabbed the man several times with a knife at a home in Banyo, in Brisbane’s north, about 3pm on Tuesday.

The man was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The woman was arrested on the spot.

She has been charged with attempted murder (domestic violence offence), contravening a domestic violence order, and obstructing a police officer.

She was refused bail and was due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
