He was arrested at a hotel in Huddersfield, northern England, two days after arriving in the UK, with police finding two guns and ammunition intended for the hit.
Natland was recruited online by the Foxtrot Network while playing a game.
The Swedish organised crime group has been linked to attacks against Jewish and Israeli targets in Europe on behalf of the Iranian regime.
He was just 19 years old when he was recruited online to carry out a murder-for-hire in a foreign country. Now, chilling footage shows the moment police caught the would-be assassin. “He had been recruited online, so inter-gaming, an individual with no previous criminal history, so your average teenage boy,” she said.
At his sentencing, Justice Bobbie Cheema-Grubb told Natland: “You agreed to be the enforcer and pursued it, despite numerous opportunities to extricate yourself.”

Natland, who was working part-time at a pizza restaurant when he was arrested, admitted possessing the firearms and ammunition but claimed he did not want to go through with the plan.
The judge said police intervention had prevented the planned killing, adding: “I am sure had the intervention of the police not prevented the plan from proceeding, you would have done what you had agreed to.”
