Mount Rushmore National Memorial features the gigantic faces of four US presidents — George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln — carved into a granite wall of the Black Hills in South Dakota by sculptor Gutzon Borglum between 1927 and 1941, employing 400 workers. Borglum, who was a member of the Free Masonry and the Ku Klux Klan, named this pharaonic monument the ‘Shrine of Democracy’. It is an emblematic name in US history, but the ‘Shrine of Democracy’ was built on Sioux lands that the US Army had massacred.

Donald Trump’s dream is to have his face carved on Mount Rushmore alongside those of four historic US Presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. He claims this right because he launched the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) movement, which he believes to be “the most important in American, if not world, history“. He claims this right because he launched the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement, which he believes to be “the most important in American history, if not world history”. During his first term in office, he approached Kristi Noem, who was representing South Dakota at the time. She began planning its implementation giving the President a model of Mount Rushmore with Trump’s face added to those of the four presidents. When Trump returned to office in January 2025, a bill was introduced in Congress to order the Secretary of the Interior to carve President Donald J. Trump’s face into the Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

Kristi Noem, who was recently appointed by Trump as National Security Secretary, has become an important figure in the current Administration.

This was evident when Senator Alex Padilla was dragged away and handcuffed by the police after interrupting her with a question during a press conference. Kristi Noem, in her capacity as Secretary of Homeland Security, accompanied Trump on a tour of the Alligator Alcatraz, a first-of-its-kind immigration detention centre built in Florida amid swamps populated by alligators, crocodiles and pythons. It is not criminals who are locked up here, but immigrants who have contributed to the US economy through their labour. The Trump Administration is also planning to transfer thousands of migrants to Guantanamo, the infamous ‘terrorist’ detention facility located on a US military base in Cuba.

While imprisoning and deporting immigrants, the Trump Administration has opened a privileged channel to immigrants from South Africa: they are Afrikaners, South Africans of Dutch and Huguenot descent, who are. welcomed into the US as “refugees fleeing South African government-sponsored racial discrimination”.

In January, South Africa adopted the Expropriation Act to address the legacy of the apartheid era and inequalities in land ownership, allowing the government to confiscate large tracts of land in the public interest. White landowners, who now make up about 8% of the population, still own 75% of South Africa’s agricultural land, while black South Africans, who make up 80% of the population, own 4%. South Africa is therefore not implementing “racial discrimination” against Afrikaners, but implementing land reform to reduce and eventually eliminate the legacy of apartheid in land ownership.

Claiming to lay down the law even in South Africa ( BRICS country founder and promoter of Netanyahu’s complaint to the UN Tribunal of Justice for the genocide of the Palestinians) President Trump has issued an executive order blocking aid to South Africa because the land reform, in his opinion, “discriminates white South Africans”.

So Trump is once again mystifying history by inverting reality.

Let us recall what an Afrikaner author wrote in 1898:

According to the Boer idea, the Cafres, the Hottentots, the Bochimans belong to a race inferior to that of the Whites. They bear, as they were once rightly called, the mark of Cain: God, our Lord, has destined them to be water carriers and wood cutters, servants subservient to the white race. A Cafer or a Hottentot can only be controlled by fear. He must always be kept in his place, he cannot be trusted: give him a finger and he will take your hand. The Boers don’t believe he can be polite. I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I express the feeling that the Boers, as a whole, doubt that a Cafer or a Hottentot can have a soul“. (The other side of the story). To accuse black South Africans of ‘racial discrimination’ against white South Africans, as Trump does, shows that racism has a life of its own.
