There are new concerns for former Sydney Swans high-flyer Warwick Capper after an incident at a sports club at the start of this month.

The high-profile larrikin — who has a colourful reputation for outrageous behaviour — had some people in the audience at the Altona Sports Club believing that he exposed himself during a wild performance.

Among other things on the night, Capper allegedly simulated sex acts, made references to drug use, and claimed he got it on with the wife of the event organiser.

Many of these antics are, of course, on brand for the 61-year-old, and he admits he made some “tasteless” gags.

“Perhaps some of my behaviours on occasion can be inappropriate; I play too much into the ‘Warwick Capper’ persona to make people happy and have a laugh and I probably shouldn’t,” Capper said in a statement to News Corp.

“Although there were some tasteless jokes, under no circumstance did I expose myself on stage to the audience.”

The club’s owner, Dennis Ryan, has booked Capper on a regular basis.

But now he admits he’s worried for the former star who famously booted 100 goals (in very tight shorts) in the 1987 season.

“We had a meeting about it afterwards,” Ryan said.

“I don’t think he’s well. I just don’t think he’s well.

“I think he’s had too many smacks in the head.

“I’m a bit concerned for Warwick and I’m really concerned for him.”

Capper’s footy career came to an end after the 1991 season.

At the end of 1987 he headed to Brisbane (then the Bears) but returned to Sydney for one final year.

He was the Swans’ leading goalkicker for four consecutive years and also took mark of the year in 1987.

Recently he appeared in an interview where he addressed his own fears about brain damage.

In that interview he said he forgets where his only son lives and often repeats the same story without knowing it.
