Out and about and it’s hit lunchtime with your two-year-old?

Simply lay the pram flat to allow for more restful naps when you’re out and about, before positioning it fully upright when they’re awake and ready to take in their surroundings.

The new and improved pram ($829) combines an ultra-compact, one-second fold with a spacious ergonomic seat, giving parents a lightweight, convenient option for everyday adventures and travel.

From navigating busy city streets to travelling further afield, the Butterfly 2 Plus is designed around ease.

Its one-second fold that we already know and love makes it simple to fold, carry and store, while its compact dimensions make it suitable for overhead plane compartments, subject to airline requirements.

Bigger wheels and full suspension provide improved manoeuvrability, grip and resistance across different conditions, helping families move smoothly through busy streets, airports and everyday adventures.

I’ve been testing this pram against my original Bugaboo Butterfly Travel Pram (five years old) and can safely say it’s worth the upgrade.

As well as the lay-flat design, which we’ve already tested on a couple of weekends away, I also love the upgraded under-seat basket, which now holds up to 8kg.

With two kids and all the snacks, I often found myself struggling to fit everything in to the previous travel pram.

With this one’s upgraded basket, as well as the handy rear seat pocket for easy access to phones, wipes and snacks, everything can be stored and is easy to find and hand over.

I am also finding it significantly easier to wheel across a number of different surfaces, whether road, pavement, tarmac or the dreaded gravel.

The pram is available in the usual Bugaboo colours: Forest Green, Heritage Black, Desert Taupe, Deep Indigo and Dusty Pink.

It has also been designed with Bugaboo’s lowest CO₂ footprint across its stroller lineup to date, with a 37 per cent reduction compared with the original Butterfly.

It is made with bio-based materials and recycled aluminium and designed to be durable, repairable and longer-lasting.
