Police are investigating after a man was found dead on a rural property on the NSW Far North Coast.

The 53-year-old was found unresponsive at the property on Leslie Creek Rd, Drake — about an hour west of Casino — before emergency services were called about 11.30pm Saturday.

Bystanders attempted to revive the man before police and paramedics took over but he was unable to be saved.

Police believe the man — from Nimbin, about an hour-and-a-half northeast of Drake — was among a group of people attending a “bush doof” at the property.
