Actress Hanna Verboom (42) has become a mother for the third time and shares a special and vulnerable message on Instagram about the arrival of her son Ramses Noa Nicola. Although she is overjoyed with her newborn son, she honestly says it has been a tough period.

“I cried so hard”

‘About a month ago this prodigy was born; Our sweetest Ramses Noa Nicola. Not anymore with four now, but with the five of them…. And the chickens 🙂 ‘, Hanna writes under a loving photo. The family happiness is large, but the period around the birth did not go without bumps.

Just like the birth of her daughter Sari, the actress was struggling with serious insomnia during pregnancy. “Unfortunately, just like with Sari, I developed insomnia for delivery, something that I am sensitive to because of my psychological variation and apparently with the pregnancy completely.”

After weeks without sleep, Hanna was completely through it. “I was on and desperate,” she writes frankly. Fortunately, the delivery itself went well. But even after birth, the sleeping problem continued to play its trouble. On urgent advice from her doctor, she started sleeping medication, which meant that she had to stop breastfeeding. She has a lot of trouble with that. ‘Stopping was so difficult, I cried so hard and I still find this the most difficult. I didn’t want to put my recovery above his interest. “

Although it was a tough decision, Hanna felt much better because of the medication. Yet there is a sense of lack. “With the gratitude, a piece of mourning also came that went so differently these weeks.”

Hanna doubted if she wanted to share this with the outside world, but decided to do it anyway. “I also know how many women P.Partum encounter things and how difficult it is sometimes to be open or seek help.”

She hopes her story helps others. “I believe that it is important that we break taboos and make talking and sharing with each other accessible … If you read this and walk against things: you are not alone and you don’t have to do it alone.” For now, Hanna retreats herself to her cocoon with man, children and chickens, she finally writes.
