Astronomers announced the detection of GJ 3378b, a “Super Pământ” 25 light-years from Earth, in a habitable zone where liquid water might exist. The discovery, detailed in *The Astrophysical Journal*, relied on data from the Hobby-Eberly Telescope and the Habitable-zone Planet Finder.
