A man in his 40s was stabbed in the chest and abdomen and a second victim in his 50s suffered wounds to his lower back when masked intruders stormed a home in Perth’s south in the early hours of Monday, police said.

Their wounds were not considered life-threatening.
Neighbour Muhammad Zia spoke on the chaos when one of the alleged victims knocked at his door.
“He said someone is trying to kill him and then he asked us to help him,” Zia said.
“I just called the cops.”
Police said masked bandits armed with weapons had also tried to smash their way in the same home the previous night.
“Detectives established that the two incidents were linked and targeted in nature and subsequently commenced an operation in response,” WA Police said.
“Police believe the incidents may be connected to organised criminal networks operating within the illicit tobacco market.”
Four men charged
Detectives and other specialist units raided properties across WA’s capital on Tuesday, arresting four men.
A 23-year-old man from Kelmscott and a 26-year-old man from Inglewood have each been charged with two counts of aggravated home burglary with intent, one count of attempted unlawfully to kill, and one count of unlawful act or omission with intent to harm.
A 25-year-old Highgate man was charged with aggravated home burglary with intent, no authority to drive, giving false personal details to police, possession of cannabis, and breach of bail.
An Ellenbrook man, 21, was charged with one count of aggravated home burglary with intent.
They appeared before the Rockingham Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Their next appearances have been set for September.
