An Australian man has been found dead in Bali alongside his two children in what police are investigating as a murder-suicide.
Police were called to a hotel on Three Brothers St in Kuta after staff found 56-year-old Australian Damien John Shaw and his two Indonesian-born children, a boy aged 6 and a girl aged 4, dead in their room about 8.30am on Sunday local time.
Staff had been asked to check on Shaw by his wife, who had recently left for Jakarta and heard the children crying on a phone call.

She later told police she heard her daughter saying “stop daddy” in the background of the call.
Workers forced their way into the room and found the three family members dead before alerting police.
Police arrived and took the bodies to Ngoerah Hospital, where an autopsy will be conducted and form part of an investigation into the deaths.
