Two teenagers have been injured and rushed to hospital after an alleged assault at a house party in Brisbane’s northwest.

Emergency crews were called to a home at Spilsby Pl in The Gap about 8.40pm on Saturday after reports of an alleged assault at what is believed to have been a 16th birthday party.

Paramedics found and treated two boys for facial wounds, with police saying they were sustained after an altercation with a group of people at the party.

A 15-year-old Ferny Hills boy was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and a 16-year-old Ferny Grove boy was also taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening injuries.

“Following enquiries police located a 15-year-old boy nearby who was taken custody and was later released,” police said.

“Investigations remain in the early stages and police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
