A fried chicken restaurant is offering a year’s worth of free food as a reward for identifying three people who robbed their business.
Two men broke into and ransacked Bird Bang’n Chicken on Weston St in East Brunswick, Melbourne, about 2am on Saturday.
Police allege the men stole several bottles of alcohol and cash from a tip jar and donation box before running off.

They then returned with a third offender about 3.40am and the trio allegedly stole a further 50 bottles of liquor.
An investigation into the robbery remains ongoing and anyone with information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
But the restaurateurs have announced their own incentive.
“Help us get this person identified and into the hands of police and you’re eating FREE CHICKEN FOR A YEAR,” a post to the restaurant’s social media page reads.
“12 months of Bird, on the house. Best payout you’ll ever get for dobbing someone in.”
While they were frustrated by their liquor and tip jar being stolen, they said the “worst part” was the donation jar.
“We’re raising money for our staff member who is facing a serious health battle, that’s as low as they come,” the social media post reads.
The restaurant was recently recognised as the “best spot for juicy and delicious fried chicken in Melbourne” by Timeout, having first opened in 2021.
“We bust our arses every single day to bring Melbourne the best fried chicken in the city,” the post reads.
“To have someone walk in and help themselves to what we’ve worked so hard for is honestly devastating.
“It’s rough out there for everyone right now, so choosing to make our team’s week worse when everyone’s already stretched thin isn’t just illegal, it’s just being a scumbag.”
They said anyone who recognises the thieves should also reach out through the restaurant’s social media page to secure their reward.
