About a month later, police received a second report alleging the man had approached a 10-year-old girl multiple times before allegedly sexually touching her at the same shopping centre on July 11.
Following inquiries, detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Cowper St in Parramatta, where they arrested the man.
He was charged with sexually touching another person without consent, two counts of intentionally sexually touching a child more than 10 years and less than 16 years, and possessing a prohibited drug.
He was refused bail and appeared before Bail Division Local Court 9 on Saturday.
A provisional apprehended violence order (AVO) was granted, and he is due to reappear before the court on August 6.
