A man has died after his car was sent crashing into a tree in a collision in Sydney’s northwest.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, was driving a Subaru Outback when it collided with a Toyota Hilux on Lane Cove Rd in Ryde about 3pm on Thursday.
The impact sent the Subaru into a tree.

The driver was treated before being rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
He later died.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
The 34-year-old man driving the Hilux was also treated at the scene.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
