A man has died after he was allegedly stabbed during an incident in Sydney’s west on Thursday evening.

Emergency services were called to Clouta Place, Emu Plains, about 6.45pm following reports a man had been stabbed.

Officers arrived to find a man, believed to be in his 50s, “suffering multiple stab wounds to his upper body”.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated him at the scene, but he could not be revived.

A 31‑year‑old man was arrested at the property and taken to Penrith Police Station.

A crime scene has been established, and detectives have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing.
