A 27‑year‑old man has died in police custody after becoming unresponsive during an arrest in Melbourne’s north.
Officers were called to a home on Discovery Close in Craigieburn about 2.55pm on Friday following reports the man was behaving erratically.
Police say the Craigieburn man was taken into custody but became unresponsive shortly after. Paramedics treated him at the scene before rushing him to hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.
