A Good Samaritan has recounted the heroic moment he saved a man from a luxury car as it burst into flames.

The 23-year-old man was driving a Corvette along Luddenham Rd in Luddenham, Western Sydney, when it crashed into a tree and burst into flames about 8pm on Monday.

Nearby resident Angleo Molluso was sitting at home when he heard the crash and jumped into action, running to the wreckage to find the young driver trapped in the burning car.

“It was just full on flames,” Molluso told 7NEWS.

“It was just seconds before this fella was going to die.”

Molluso’s brother also rushed to the scene and pleaded with his brother to “get away from the car”.

“But if we did, he’s dead ... He dies,” he added.

Braving the flames, Molluso and another Good Samaritan were able to pry the driver from the wreckage and drag him to safety.

Emergency services arrived soon after and rushed the driver to Westmead Hospital with a suspected broken rib and a collapsed lung.

Molusso was treated for minor burns at the scene by paramedics while firefighters extinguished the car and several nearby trees which also caught alight.

The luxury car was towed away later that night as police launched an investigation into the crash.
