Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held up a pager at the UN General Assembly, invoking the deadly 2024 covert sabotage operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon, which killed dozens and severely wounded thousands, including women and children.

Thousands of pagers carried by Hezbollah members exploded across Lebanon on September 17, 2024, followed by hundreds of weaponized walkie-talkies the next day. The attacks killed dozens and injured up to 4,000 people, including numerous civilian bystanders, healthcare workers, and their families. Israel later acknowledged responsibility for the operation.

Speaking at the General Assembly on Thursday, Netanyahu held up a pager, saying:

“You remember the beepers? Remember these? Hezbollah certainly remembers them.”

Scores of delegates walked out as Netanyahu took the podium, leaving much of the hall empty. The Palestinian mission urged other delegations to join the protest.

Netanyahu struck a confrontational tone throughout the speech, branding delegates who walked out “moral cowards” and lashing out at several of Israel’s regional and international critics. He called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a “tyrant,” accused Qatar of trying to “brainwash” young Americans, and predicted that Iran’s government would eventually fall.

He also held up a Starlink terminal, saying he would leave it for the Iranian delegation to use when its members “inevitably defect.”

Netanyahu publicly confirmed Israel’s role in in the pager attack in November 2024, and his spokesman said the prime minister personally approved it. Two former senior Mossad agents later told CBS that the Israeli intelligence agency spent years preparing the operation, using shell companies to secretly insert the explosive devices into Hezbollah’s supply chain.

At a White House meeting in February 2025, Netanyahu presented US President Donald Trump with a gold-plated pager in reference to the attack. Trump reportedly called it “a great operation.”

The pager attack marked what Israeli officials described as a new phase of Israel’s war with Hezbollah and was followed by an intensified military campaign in Lebanon.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut later that month, before Israeli forces launched ground incursions into southern Lebanon.

Fighting flared up again in March 2026, when Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel following the outbreak of the US-Israeli war against Iran. A US-brokered ceasefire in June largely halted major Israeli strikes on Beirut, although Israeli forces continue to occupy parts of southern Lebanon and carry out attacks elsewhere in the country. More than 4,000 people have been killed and over 12,000 wounded in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March, according to the country’s Health Ministry.

The Plan to Commit Genocide

was adopted by the Netanyahu Cabinet

On the 13th of October 2023

Michel Chossudovsky

September 25, 2026

It was called the “Voluntary Emigration Plan”, by Israel’s Minister of Intelligence Gilial Gamliel Demri

The formal name of the so-called Secret Memorandum was not “Voluntary Emigration”, quite the opposite.

It was entitled by the Ministery of Intelligence:

“Israeli Intelligence Ministry Policy Paper (IIMPP) on Gaza’s Civilian Population”, October 2023.

Under Option C of the IIMPP Memorandum, the stated objective was:

“Expel All Palestinians from Gaza”.

Of significance, the IIMPP Memorandum was made public in late October 2023 following its endorsement by the Netanyahu government.on October 13, 2023

It was totally ignored by the mainstream media.

It was also ignored by the United Nations and the International Court of Justice.

Two Distinct Genocide Agendas

1. Option C: “Expel All Palestinians from Gaza”. The IIMPP Memorandum was Made Public

2.  Various Procedures of Mass Killing. Secret Classified Memoranda

  • “Calculated Mass Killing”,
  • The Targeting of Children
  • Engineered Famine, Starvation and Disease,
  • Targeted Bombing of Hospitals and Schools,
  • Electricity, Fuel, Water and Sanitation,
  • The killings of Journalists, Medical staff, Aid Workers
  • And More

100 Days and 75 Years of Genocide.

Three Years later it’s:

Video: Bibi Netanhayu is a Criminal. 1000 Days of GenocideTwo Important articles of the United Nations Charter which apply to Israel. .
  • Article 5 (Suspension): A member of the United Nations against which preventive or enforcement action has been taken by the Security Council may be suspended from the exercise of the rights and privileges of membership by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council.
  • Article 6 (Expulsion): A member which has persistently violated the Principles contained in the Charter may be expelled from the Organization by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council.
  • The Veto Barrier: Because any action under Articles 5 or 6 requires a formal recommendation from the Security Council, permanent members with veto power (such as the U.S.) can block any such initiative from reaching the General Assembly.

Suspension and Expulsion should be carried out.

Permanent Members: The U.S is complicit in Israel’s crimes against humanity and so are the U.K. and France.

I should mention that the Geneva 1948 Convention on Genocide categorizes the U.S., U.K. and France as “complicit” under article 4.

From a legal standpoint, does the 1948 Geneva Convention on Genocide Override the UNSC Right to Veto? The Veto is an “Act of Complicity” ( Art 4)  in the conduct of crimes against humanity by the State of Israel.

Criminal Bibi Netanyahu Addresses the UN General Assembly

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pushed back against accusations of genocide levelled against Israel in a fiery speech to the UN General Assembly on Thursday, as many delegates walked out and hundreds of protesters rallied against him across Manhattan.

“What genocidal regime gives a million polio vaccinations to the enemy’s population? What genocidal regime enables the distribution of two million tons of food into Gaza?” he asked. Israel has not provided Palestinians with vaccines, but has at most allowed vaccination campaigns by international groups. Later in the speech, he said, “Israel didn’t commit genocide. Israel prevented genocide.”

Netanyahu downplayed settler violence, claiming that the number of Palestinians killed by settler violence every year stands at “maybe two or three.” According to data by the UN’s Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 23 Palestinians have been killed since the beginning of 2026 in settler attacks alone.

He also reiterated his claim that the perpetrators are “young juvenile delinquents, about 150 in number,” saying he would not stand for vigilantism and that Israel is a law-abiding country.

The prime minister also addressed New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, accusing the mayor again of being antisemitic. “Shame on you,” he said.”Mr. Mamdani, since you were elected mayor of this city, many Jews no longer feel safe in New York. They talk to me.

Netanyahu added that Mamdani was trying to silence him by saying Netanyahu should not be allowed entry to the U.S. due to the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant against him.

The prime minister then moved to the topic of Iran, bringing out a Starlink router as a prop, in an attempt to show how the Iranian regime is silencing its people. “Starlink allows people to access the truth,” Netanyahu said, saying he was leaving the router for the Iranian delegation so that they will be able to “freely tell their story on social media” when they “inevitably defect.”

He also held up a pager, a reference to Israel’s 2024 attack targeting thousands of booby-trapped pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon. “Remember them?” he asked. “Hezbollah certainly remembers them.”

Netanyahu has been prone to use props and aids in major foreign policy speeches, most notably in his 2012 UN address, where he used a drawing of a bomb to show Iran was on the precipice of attaining a nuclear weapon.

Addressing Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa’s statements that the Golan Heights would remain “Syrian territory,” Netanyahu said Jews have been in the Golan Heights since the time of Moses. “You can read it in the Bible,” he added.

Israel captured the Golan Heights from Syria in the 1967 Mideast war and annexed it in 1981. The United Nations and most of the international community consider the territory occupied Syrian land and do not recognize Israel’s annexation of it.

Jewish and Israeli protesters gathered across Manhattan on Thursday ahead of Netanyahu’s UN address, calling for him to be held accountable and voted out of office.

Outside UN headquarters, dozens of protesters led by liberal Zionist and progressive Jewish groups held signs reading “choose life” and “Stop the government of terror!”

Blocks away on First Avenue, hundreds of protesters affiliated with Jewish Voice for Peace gathered to protest Netanyahu’s visit. Several of the most high-profile figures attending the protest were arrested, including democratic socialist nominees for Congress Darializa Avila Chevalier and Aber Kawas, and actresses and artists including Hannah Einbinder, Chelsea Manning, Susan Sarandon and Indya Moore.

In Union Square, about 50 protesters at a demonstration organized by Israeli expat-led grassroots group UnXeptable waved Israeli flags and held a large yellow sign reading, “Netanyahu, Your Time is Up.”

In response to Netanyahu’s speech, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett accused him of “whitewashing” Qatar by failing to designate it an enemy of Israel during his UN speech. Bennett, who heads the Together party in the run for Israel’s upcoming election, said Netanyahu had missed a “historic opportunity” to expose what he called Qatar’s role in the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack.
