The return of Virgin Australia Holidays marks the airline’s re-entry into the holiday package market after the service was discontinued in 2020 during the pandemic.
Now powered by travel marketplace Hopper, the platform allows travellers to organise their flights and accommodation in a single transaction, taking much of the hassle out of planning a getaway.

Similar packages are also available from the Gold Coast from $655 per person, while Canberra travellers can book a four-night Bali package from $689 per person, based on two people travelling together.
Domestic travellers are also spoiled for choice. Those looking for a quick Queensland getaway can book return Economy Lite flights from Brisbane to Cairns with two nights’ accommodation from $390 per person, based on two travellers.
Another standout deal includes return Economy Lite flights from Newcastle to Brisbane with two nights’ accommodation from $429 per person.
Additional offers include Melbourne to Brisbane packages from $500 per person, Sydney to Brisbane from $460 per person, Melbourne to Cairns from $479 per person, and Sydney to Cairns from $430 per person, all based on two travellers sharing accommodation.
The timing reflects growing demand for package holidays.

The research also found 50 per cent of Australians are actively looking for faster, simpler ways to organise their holidays.
That shift in traveller behaviour is helping fuel the return of airline holiday packages, particularly as travellers look to bundle flights and accommodation into one purchase rather than booking each element separately.
For Velocity Frequent Flyer members, there is even more value. Customers booking eligible Virgin Australia Holidays packages can earn up to 4.5 Velocity Points per $1 spent, earn Status Credits on eligible flights, redeem Velocity Points towards holidays and, for a limited time, earn double Status Credits when booking through the promotion.
