The discussion about cashless banking, digital dependency and financial control has suddenly become very personal.

What began as a routine decision by my mother to withdraw her own money escalated into a nightmare that every Canadian should know about. Canadians already witnessed bank accounts being frozen during the Freedom Convoy. But what happens when there is no protest, no emergency order and no allegation of criminal wrongdoing—when an 85-year-old woman simply wants to withdraw her own money?

For three weeks, my mother and I were completely locked out of our TD Bank accounts. My mother repeatedly assured the bank that she was not being defrauded, coerced or acting under duress. She simply wanted access to her own money for personal reasons. Yet her account was frozen—and because she was jointly listed on my accounts, they were frozen as well.

The situation eventually escalated to the point where TD intended to permanently close my mother’s accounts and “de-market” her as a customer. After weeks of meetings, telephone calls and written correspondence, the manager of TD’s Fraud Department finally released our accounts. He apologized and acknowledged that the matter should never have reached this point.

Think about that for a moment. Your money is sitting in a bank account. You have committed no crime. You have cooperated with the bank. Yet suddenly you cannot access your own funds.

This experience demonstrates why the conversation with Pastor Billy Crone about Digital ID, CBDCs, cashless banking and the potential for centralized financial control is so timely. When our financial lives depend upon centralized institutions and electronic access, control of that access ultimately rests with someone other than us.

Action4Canada has been warning our members about the growing dependence on digital banking and cashless transactions for years, which is precisely why I was prepared and had access to cash when our accounts were suddenly frozen. When my digital access disappeared, cash gave me options.

We have a window of opportunity to turn this around, but Canadians must stop willingly handing over control in exchange for convenience. Tap your card, bank online, automate your payments, go paperless and abandon cash—every step toward complete digital dependence gives us fewer alternatives. In embracing convenience without considering the consequences, we are helping to build the very system Scripture warned about  thousands of years ago.

The Global Cabal is driving centralized control, but Canadians are not powerless. We have tremendous consumer, purchasing and investing power. Use cash. Reduce your dependence on digital banking. Maintain paper records. Protect your privacy. Reconsider where you keep your savings and investments, including whether tangible assets such as physical gold and silver are appropriate for you. We should NOT be willingly participating in building our own AI and digital prisons.

It is critical that Canadians heed the warnings and make changes now. Stop choosing convenience over control. Take action while you still have choices!
