A teenage girl has been rushed to hospital after she was ejected from a car during a violent crash.

The 16-year-old was a passenger in a sedan when it collided with an SUV along the Great Western Hwy in Minchinbury, Western Sydney, about 10.30pm on Saturday.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and treated the girl before taking her to hospital in a stable condition.

The driver of the sedan, a 17-year-old boy, and another 16-year-old female passenger were both uninjured in the crash.

A 30-year-old male driver of the SUV was also uninjured.

Both drivers were administered roadside tests by police, which returned negative results.

Footage from the scene shows officers scouring through debris strewn along the side of the highway amid ongoing investigations.

Both cars were towed away from the scene soon after.
