Brisbane comedian Christian Hull’s obsession with miniature collectibles has exploded into a viral phenomenon, with the social media star receiving hundreds of packages from fans across the globe.

Following a few videos of the comic unboxing miniature collectibles, he called out to his followers to send him some miniatures over the holiday period.

Expecting only a few packages, he was overwhelmed when his PO was filled with closer to 400 parcels.

In a video showing his car boot filled with packages, Hull exclaimed: “I just went to my PO box just to see if anyone has sent me. Look, look at this. My boot, look at this. They’re all here.”

Speaking with Sunrise on Tuesday, Hull said he has been a bit of a collector since childhood.

“Now that I’m an adult with no responsibilities earning adult money, I really have just leant into the obsession.”

While ALDI collectibles have dominated his social media feeds of late, Hull emphasised that it wasn’t just supermarket minis that have captured his attention.

Hull has received incredibly detailed, tiny items from across the globe, including a miniature Dala horse from Sweden and babushka dolls.

“We’re talking real-life things, but like really tiny,” he explained.

“We’re not just talking about kids’ toys, we’re talking like legitimate items that people have crafted or made that are like tiny.”

Hull revealed there’s an entire underground community of miniature enthusiasts, with festivals in Las Vegas and Sydney, and groups meeting in scout halls to swap and trade their collections.

Hull’s local Post Office has had to give Hull special treatment, with staff taking his mobile number as their storeroom fills up daily with his deliveries.

His home walls are now covered with printer trays displaying approximately 6,000 miniatures.

“Am I a collector at this point, or am I a hoarder?” the comedian mused.

Among the stranger items received were adult toys in miniature form and a crow’s foot.

“It’s weird. It’s really hard to describe to you when you love something, and then someone makes a miniature of it,” he said.
