It’s a common sight at many country shows, a sideshow alley game which invites people of all ages to try to shoot plastic ducks in return for prizes.

But rather than a giant teddy, one man was instead handed a court date and accused of breaching a firearms order.

South Australian Police have charged a 48-year-old Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang member from Port Willunga with breaching the conditions of a firearms prohibition order and being unlawfully present at a shooting gallery.

Detectives from the Crime Gangs Task Force launched an investigation after learning the man had attended the Willunga Festival on Sunday, July 26, and had reportedly tried his luck at a carnival duck‑shooting game.

Police allege that was a breach of his firearms prohibition order, which bans him from handling or using any kind of firearm‑related equipment.

Officers arrested the man in Adelaide on Friday.

He remains in custody and is set to face Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday, August 24.
