Nissan Australia has finally confirmed the facelifted Z Coupe range for a local launch, available to order from this month ahead of deliveries commencing in September 2026.

The 2027 Nissan Z range will be headlined by a new Nismo manual halo, adding a stick-shift option to the more focused variant, along with minor design changes as well as chassis and interior technology upgrades.

Featuring a "short-stroke, six-speed gearbox with an exclusively tuned drive mode", the new Z Nismo manual retains the higher 309kW/520Nm engine tune from the Nismo automatic, an increase of 11kW/45Nm over the standard model.

Further, Nismo models get new two-piece front brake rotors nicked from the R35 GT-R, which also feature a new finish for the calipers. The new components shed "around 9kg" from the vehicle's unsprung mass.

Meanwhile, standard Z models get a revised front bumper and grille design, as well as a new design for the 19-inch alloy wheels. Updated Nismo monotube dampers also claim to improve handling and ride comfort for the Z Coupe.

New for the updated range is the Unryu Green hero exterior paint, while returning to the options list is Boulder Grey with a contrasting black roof.

Inside, all models get a new wireless phone charger, while the standard Z Coupe is available with a tan interior as a no-cost option.

Rounding out the enhancements are a frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, as well as a new start-up animation in the instrument cluster and a new key design.

Like the brand's wider lineup, the Nissan Z range is backed by a 10-year/300,000km new vehicle warranty with roadside assistance, on the condition the vehicle is serviced at authorised Nissan dealers.

Scheduled servicing for the first five years is capped at $499 per visit.

Pricing for Nissan's updated sports car is up slightly, with the standard Z priced at $76,800 before on-road costs, an increase of $640. As before, the price is the same regardless of whether you specify the six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic.

The Nismo is now priced at $95,000 plus on-roads, up $395. The flagship Z is also priced the same, regardless of whether you choose the auto or the new manual option.
